I have now bought four pairs of these, so that is itself a convincing review. I bought a size smaller than my first pairs, and because they are so flexible snug is better than loose. When it gets warm again, I'll be wearing these a lot.
I work in a Covid-emptied department with little public contact. When it's really hot outside and my bike commute could give me heatstroke, I'll be wearing these to work as well as play.

I originally bought two pairs of these shorts, in black and some neutral whose official name I now forget. I almost immediately got unremovable tree sap on the tan pair, so when they were again on sale, I ordered two more.
The size is perfect - while I can wear a belt with them, unless I have a heavy load of stuff in all the pockets, I don't need to. Olive is one of my basic colors, so I'll be wearing this a lot.
